Homeownership Counselor
Position Available After October 15, 2009
The Brooklyn and Curtis Bay Coalition has an opening for a part-time homeownership counselor. The Coaltion is a non-profit community development corporation that focuses on the neighborhoods of Brooklyn and Curtis Bay.
The homeownership counselor will work with residents on homeownership issues, including pre-purchase homeownership workshops, one-on-one counseling and mortgage foreclosure workshops. Brooklyn and Curtis Bay are part of the Healthy Neighborhoods, so the counselor will also work with buyers who may seek to take advantage of their loan programs.
This position requires strong oral and written communication skills and computer skills. Two years of experience in homeownership counseling or related field is pregerred. An ideal candidate will be a certified housing counselor.
The salary is dependent upon experience and certification. EOE.
